Nerris is a first-generation filmmaker whose work explores the intersections of music, identity, and family.
His screenplays have earned recognition from industry leading platforms like Academy's Nicholl Fellowship, the Austin Film Festival, the Black List, and others. His budget-conscious scripts balance creative ambition with production feasibility, reflecting his dual perspective as both writer and director.
Adept at all facets of production, Nerris has led successful commercial, film, and digital projects for Disney Imagineering, Cirque du Soleil, Elevate Prize, Aputure, PocketFM, and others. As an independent creative professional, he brings his signature cinematic style to both branded content and narrative projects.
A graduate of UCLA's School of Theater, Film & Television, Nerris continues to draw from his mixed heritage to create stories that resonate across cultures and genres.
